Electronics Assembly Soldering Technician

Responsibilities & Duties:

The Electronic Assembly operator is responsible for, but not limited to the following duties and responsibilities:

  • Assembly of electronic components, sub-assemblies, and systems.***
  • Positioning and alignment of parts using fixtures, jigs, and other holding devices.
  • Soldering
  • Utilize equipment, or hand/power tools to secure parts in place.* *
  • Mount assembled components to chassis or panels; install finished assemblies or sub-assemblies in cases and cabinets.* *
  • Perform intermediate assembly tasks.* *
  • Operate equipment used to press, shape, and join components or parts.* *
  • Calibrate and verify accuracy of scale/indicator/printer. Knowledge & Qualifications Required:*
  • The ability to read and write, possess basic math skills.
  • Basic knowledge of electronic components.
  • Physical Requirements & Demands:*
  • Lifting of up to 50 pounds; sitting or standing for long periods; grasping/griping motion with hands; twisting/turning motion with wrists.***

CNC Operator/ Machinist

3rd Shift with a $2.00 shift differential

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • CNC machinists work with computer numeric controlled (CNC) heavy machinery from setup to operation to produce parts and tools from metal, plastic or other materials.
  • CNC machinists make adjustments to the machine to control speed, material feed and path of the cut, as well as make sure the machines are set up properly, working well, and producing quality product.
  • CNC machinists make sure their machines are working at full capacity, are stocked with needed materials, well-maintained and perform periodic checks on output. They look at the finished product to ensure it is defect-free and ready for the next step in production.
  • Synchronization of machine and tools as well as recording the set up point.
  • Comparison of numerical date displays against specifications on operations sheet.
  • Assemble and preset tooling for next operation.
  • Occasional use of drilling and boring tools.

Knowledge and Qualifications required:

  • Prior experience in the set up and operation of turning, vertical mill, and horizontal mill machines.
  • Able to read and understand both Mazatrol and EIA programming format.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to read blueprints
  • Ability to use measuring instruments and hand tools.

Software Engineer

General Description

Cardinal Scale Manufacturing Company is seeking an experienced software engineer to deliver cutting edge solutions to our customers.  The successful candidate will working with the product development team to design and implement software of real-time embedded devices and systems. This position is responsible for designing, developing, coding, testing and debugging system software and hardware.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develops embedded software solutions by studying software requirements.

  • Verifies program code by conducting static and dynamic code analysis.
  • Creates and executes software test plans.
  • Updates job knowledge by studying state‐of‐the‐art development tools, programming techniques, and computing equipment; participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
  • Participates in developing quality assurance procedures related to software design, implementation and verification.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of embedded software development experience/knowledge.
  • BS (or MS) in Computer Engineering, Cybernetics, Computer Science, Electronics Engineering or applicable scientific discipline is required.
  • Experience in embedded software development using C/C++.
  • Experience with integrating hardware and software systems.
  • Solid understanding of embedded hardware and architectures.
  • Experience with design and requirements specification and commonly used tools.

Preferred Skills

  • A strong background programming with C and C++ in a resource constrained environment.
  • Strong interest in electronic design.
  • Familiarity with real time operating systems and multi-threaded application development.
  • Working experience in different embedded software frameworks.
  • Knowledge with creating board support packages to bring up new hardware devices.
  • Experience with various microcontrollers.
  • Experience with communication protocols such as UART, RS232, USB, I2C, and SPI.
  • Ability to read hardware schematics and troubleshoot using oscilloscopes and logic analyzers.

Saw Operator

Cardinal Scale Manufacturing Co. is seeking a Saw Operator at our facility in Webb City, Missouri. The saw operator is responsible for the set up and operation of the metal band saw machine.

Summary of essential job functions To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily.
